Bomet County Government
Bomet County Government

We have been working with Bomet County Government since 2013. The focus of our work together so far has been on our WASH in Schools programme ensuring every child in targeted sub-counties has access to clean drinking water, safe sanitation and hygiene education. This work has included developing a bespoke hygiene training curriculum tailored specially to the needs of children in the county. We also work together to scale up Community Led Total Sanitation programmes in the county.

Trustees

The charity was founded in 2007 by two British students, Jo and Pete, after they were introduced to Maasai Kenyan women's rights activist and UN Person of the Year Agnes Pareyo. Agnes helped Jo and Pete to set up strong local working relationships, which resulted in the charity’s first two water projects. Since then we’ve continued to collaborate with the Kenyan government, local businesses and communities, to transform the provision of clean water, sanitation and good hygiene.
