Joas Koech

WASH Infrastructure Manager

Joas joined Dig Deep in 2025 as an Intern after his post-graduate studies to support the technical team in the planning and implementation supervision of water and sanitation projects in Bomet County. In 2026, he stepped up into the role of WASH Infrastructure Manager to oversee the quality, safety, technical compliance, and long-term sustainability of water and sanitation infrastructure projects. As a technical lead, his role focuses on managing entire project lifecycles and critical stakeholder engagement.


He brings hands-on experience driving inclusive water and sanitation infrastructure projects in Peri-urban and informal settlements in Nairobi, having previously worked with the Nairobi City Water Company (under CRBC implemented projects) and Losai Management Limited (as a WASH Consultant).


Joas holds an Erasmus Mundus Masters (MSc) in Environmental Technology and Engineering, jointly awarded by the University of Chemistry and Technology (Czech Republic), the IHE Delft Institute for Water Education (The Netherlands), and Ghent University (Belgium).
