David has pursued a career in the energy business, initially in oil & gas and more recently in renewables and clean tech. He has extensive board experience and is currently a Director or advisor of 5 companies in the energy sector and a governor of the Skinners’ Kent Academy. As well as his board experience he brings a string of interests in sustainability, development, and infrastructure.

With over 15 years experience in the 3rd sector Jo has worked with a variety of charities and companies including the UK’s largest charity Cancer Research UK, UNICEF and BBC Media Action. Jo has worked on high profile global partnerships to secure funding and support across the organisations. She has a particular interest in WASH and education within int'l development. Jo co-founded Dig Deep with Peter in 2007 and has spent a considerable amount of time in East Africa.

Peter is a Renewable Energy Analyst with Axis Capital, working in a team underwriting renewable energy projects around the world. Peter has previous experience working for an East African charity. Peter established Dig Deep in 2007 and managed our first two projects in Kenya.

Dionne is a specialist in supporting organisations to design and implement strategies and programmes that make a real difference to workers in the supply chain whilst delivering for the bottom line. With over 15 years of experience working in Europe, US, Asia and Africa, she has developed ground breaking programmes addressing modern slavery, organisational change, worker/gender empowerment and leadership at all levels.

Celine is a result-focused leader with 15 years experience in improving conditions in international agricultural supply chains, with expertise in labour rights, sustainable agriculture and women empowerment. With a passion for empowering communities, Celine has facilitated various multi-stakeholder dialogue and partnerships and developed effective ethical sourcing strategies for tropical commodities.

Ian is a Chartered Accountant starting his career at PwC and Tate & Lyle. He has gained extensive experience working internationally as finance director and leader of change in many sectors, most recently the travel sector. His interests include various international cultural activities, volunteering with one of England’s leading amateur sports clubs and pursuing a keen interest in Southern and Eastern Africa.

Emily is a health policy specialist with technical expertise spanning health security, public health, pandemic preparedness and response to high consequence infectious diseases. She is now a Senior Health Systems Adviser in the NHS Consortium for Global Health where she works with partner countries across Africa, LATAM and South / South East Asia to provide technical advice on health system strengthening.

Sarah specialises in and is passionate about women’s rights, gender equality, diversity and social inclusion. She has over ten years of experience working in the international non-profit sector, including with Oxfam Novib and Oxfam International, as well as with critical development studies faculty, the International Institute of Social Studies (ISS). Sarah has worked extensively with civil society in the Greater Horn of Africa on programmes, policy, and advocacy.

Dr Grobicki recently stepped down as Deputy Director of External Affairs at the Green Climate Fund, which assists developing countries in adaptation and mitigation practices to counter climate change. A chemical engineer by background, Dr Grobicki has researched water quality and the circular economy of water. She holds a PhD in Biochemical Engineering as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Applied Economics.

Sharmila is an English lawyer of 30 years standing, specialising in UK Immigration and Nationality and a Partner at Keystone Law. Born in Nairobi, Kenya, Sharmila has a keen interest in helping people empower themselves, to help educate and embrace change

Rhys has extensive CEO-level commercial experience in the international TMT sector. This has included multi-national corporations, such as IBM and Groupe Bull, start-ups and management consultancy, with a particular emphasis on sales, marketing and training. Starting in 2007 he created three separate pan-African TV services based in Nairobi, Dar es Salaam, and finally Johannesburg.

Neeti has developed a career in asset management where she sits on the boards of various infrastructure assets, managing their strategic direction, providing guidance on financing and operational elements as well as other aspects such as health and safety, cyber risk, reporting, and ESG initiatives. Neeti is delighted to be able to use these skills for the benefit of a charity such as Dig Deep.

Timothy works as a Project Manager for environmental assessments in the water sector for Ricardo Energy & Environment. Before that he worked in Uganda for nine years managing Water and Sanitation projects with BMS World Mission based in Northern Uganda leading projects including a latrine improvement project though small businesses and sustainable community water development using a business model to generate local income and using profits to drill boreholes.
